Rick Baker began training in the martial arts when he was 9 years old and has been a student ever since. A well respected instructor all over the world because of his unshakeable convictions for integrity and commitment to maintaining the traditions of self defense; he has amassed an impressive portfolio of awards and earned Black Belts in a number of martial arts and has been a "live in" or Uchi Deshi under three seperate masters . Though he is a Grandmaster several times over, he never forgets his roots and still considers himself very much a student.

Rick receives the greatest personal satisfaction from seeing his students become happy, productive and successful people.  All the grand championships in the world won't pay the bills or help one overcome life's obstacles!  The way of the martial arts is that of perseverance, of self improvement, and of success.
